Regina Tinker is a native of Middle Tennessee where she graduated cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in 1989 with a BS in Computer Science and a double minor in Mathematics and Physics.  She worked at Intergraph in Huntsville, AL for 2 years, then homeschooled her three children for 17 years.

In 2009 she began teaching Algebra 1 at Covenant Christian Academy.  Since then she has made available the following classes:  Pre-Algebra, Algebra 2, Financial Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Intro to Computer, C Programming, and C++ Programming.

She has volunteered for several years at North Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (NARSEF) and Alabama Science and Engineering Fair (ASEF). Along with her husband, Mike, she was an ASEF fair director in 2015. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mathematics from UNA.

Since homeschooling her oldest son who had mild dyslexia, it has enabled her to recognize students who have learning challenges. From this knowledge, she can aid students to develop a plan to succeed. Regina’s passion is to see students gain confidence in their math ability and no longer dread math.
