Terina Murphy is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Georgia at the age of 10. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from North Georgia College and State University, and a Master of Education Degree in Deaf Education from Georgia State University. Terina also has an endorsement in reading.

Terina has several years of tutoring experience. She worked as a student tutor while attending North Georgia College and State University, assisting college students in English composition and reading comprehension. She has also worked with students in grades 5-12 and college level for Tutor.com. In this online setting, she worked with students in developing and editing their essays in a variety of writing styles, along with providing general writing advice.  

Terina has taught students in Preschool/Pre-K. Most recently, Terina has worked with college level students teaching a Developmental Reading course at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL. Her wide range of teaching experiences have allowed her to differentiate her lesson plans to accommodate the individual needs of her students. 

Terina and her husband moved to Huntsville, AL in 2019. Outside of teaching, Terina has always enjoyed baking and sharing the delicious goodies with family and friends.
